McCulloh Family Gatherings & Reunions: 1938 to 1947
William McCulloh’s first wife, Mary Sweigert, died in 1892 after the birth of their child, Archibald. In 1894 William married Maria Gsell who gave birth to 13 children, 10 of whom survived to adulthood. William died in 1938 and Maria in 1960. His many children and their families gathered together from time to time and at some point by the 1970s these gatherings had become a formally organized annual family reunion. Its difficult to say when the family gatherings became family reunions but the photo record of the family gatherings appear to take on the characteristics of family reunions in 1938, the year William died. The following images are of the William Edgar McCulloh family reunions beginning in 1938 through 1947.
