1934 – 2011

Herbert Leroy Keefer, age 76, of Dillsburg, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Camp Hill.

Born August 30, 1934 in Monaghan Township, he was the son of the late Samuel Rodger and Cora Elizabeth (McCulloh) Keefer.

He was a retired electrician from AMP Inc. and was a member of Grantham Brethren in Christ Church. He enjoyed his retirement by traveling around the United States selling his collectible toys. One of his favorite places to go was Alaska. He also shared a passion and love for horses and passed that along to his daughters.

Surviving are his four daughters, Sharon K. Keefer and Susan J. Lucas both of Mechanicsburg, Sally J. Richardson and her husband Daniel of Enola, and Sandra O. Nickells of Dillsburg; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, where there will be a viewing from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Rev. Phil Keefer will officiate. Interment will be in Grantham Cemetery, Grantham, PA.
